Force Plate – 50m Track and Baseball Field
SP Lab, National Institute of Fitness and Sports in KANOYA
National Institute of Fitness and Sports in KANOYA is located in Kagoshima prefecture, which is an only national sport science university in Japan.
The Sports Performance Research Center is an indoor facility of the University with latest research equipment for scientific verification including an athletic field, tracks, pitcher’s mound and batter box.
Tech Gihan’s Force Plates are installed on the tracks, pitcher’s mound and batter’s box.
Fifty 1m Force Plates are installed in a straight line on the running track as well as on the starting blocks.
The system allows continuous measurement in springing from ‘starting’, ‘acceleration’ to ‘intermediate sprint’.
6-component forces are processed properly even when an athlete steps on in-between the Force Plates without affecting running performance.
Baseball Force-Platform System
The Force Plates are installed under the pitcher’s mound and the batter’s box.
All the force plates are synchronized to measure a series of movements as well as the forces applied to the pitcher’s foot when throwing a ball and the movement of the center of gravity of the batter’s batting form.
